In 11, MSL Charleston Beats MSL Panama City, 6-2
|
The MSL Charleston Battery beat the MSL Panama City Piranhas, 6-2, in 11 innings. MSL Charleston pitcher and Seoul, South Korea, native Cheol-han Ho led the way. MSL Charleston reliever Warren Brooks picked up the win, while Toa Miriyan took the loss for MSL Panama City. MSL Charleston's winning streak has reached 5 games.
Gerardo Contreras delivered a big hit for MSL Charleston. The second baseman drilled a grand slam home run in the top of the 11th inning to put the Battery ahead, 6-2. It was his only hit, but it was a beauty.
"They tested our mettle," said Contreras. "But that's good. It toughens us up."
