The MSL Thunder Bay Northern Lions BC firmly defeated the MSL Detroit Rock City, 15-0, at MSL Detroit Ballpark. The MSL Thunder Bay offense was lit. Eucla Cocklebiddy, for one, had a solid game. He was 4 for 5 with a home run, a double, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 2 and driving in 5 for the Northern Lions BC. Andrés Domínguez picked up the win in relief for MSL Thunder Bay, while Ching Xue took the loss. The win hiked the MSL Thunder Bay record to 17-10.
With MSL Thunder Bay leading 11-0 in the top of the ninth, Cocklebiddy came up to bat against MSL Detroit pitcher Ramón Ramírez. Cocklebiddy hit a fastball to center for a grand slam home run. His 3rd home run of the season put the Northern Lions BC on top, 15-0.
"We can't expect to win," said MSL Detroit manager Valentín Robles, "when we play like that."
