The MSL D.C. Divided stymied the MSL Charleston Battery, 5-2, at MSL Charleston Ballpark. Steve Ferrell had a good day at the plate. He was 1 for 4 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2 for MSL D.C.. Yu Zhan claimed the win after being brought in from the bullpen. The left-hander allowed no runs on 2 hits in 2.1 innings. His record stands at 2-0. Gerardo González collected his 2nd save.
MSL D.C. took a 3-2 lead on Richard Alfons's 8th double of the season. The run-scoring double, which Alfons hit in the top of the seventh, left MSL Charleston pitcher Seung Pak visibly frustrated.
"I just tried to make good contact," said Alfons.
The win puts MSL D.C. at 10-18.
