Kingfishers Roll to 9-1 Win Over Northern Lions BC
|
At MSL Pittsburgh Ballpark, the MSL Thunder Bay Northern Lions BC and MSL Pittsburgh Kingfishers were greeted by an enthusiastic crowd.
Myung-woo Kang, who is tied for 8th in the 3MSL with a 8.4 K/9 rate, was terrific for the MSL Pittsburgh Kingfishers in his team's 9-1 triumph over the MSL Thunder Bay Northern Lions BC. His performance earned Kang rave reviews. Kang, the winner, moves to 6-1. He threw 6 innings of 2-hit ball, while fanning 7 and giving up 2 walks.
Félix Benture, who is tied for 8th in the 3MSL in home runs with 7, took MSL Thunder Bay hurler Osvaldo Rufillo deep in the bottom of the second. His 2-run home run put the Kingfishers on top, 2-0. In all, Benture had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 5.
"Myung-woo was dictating to their hitters," said MSL Pittsburgh manager Ricky Miller.
The first-place Kingfishers have a one-game lead in their division.
