Bowties Earn Clutch Win, 6-5
|
Despite a great performance by MSL Cape Coral center fielder Efren Ordinario, the MSL Buckhead Bowties defeated the Hurricanes by the score of 6-5 in 10 innings at MSL Cape Coral Ballpark. Ordinario was 3 for 5 with a home run and a triple, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. The Bowties go to 17-12, putting them 4th in the 3L MSL.
Who knows how it would've ended, had it not been for Ibrahim Muhamadi? The 18-year old third baseman Muhamadi stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the tenth inning to put MSL Buckhead up, 6-5. For the game, he was 2 for 4, including 1 double and 1 single.
In postgame remarks, Muhamadi said: "I'm proud of our guys, of their fight."
