Flamingos Lose By a Run at Long Island
Long Island Lighthouse starter Jeff Tate found his groove in his team's 4-3 win over the Las Vegas Flamingos. Tate picked up the win for Long Island, going 6 innings. He gave up 1 run on 10 hits. He now sports a record of 10-1. With the win, Long Island raised its record to 36-28.

Ostoja Popovic had a big 2-run home run for the Lighthouse in the bottom of the first inning. With Long Island leading 2-1 and a runner on 1st, he sized up a fastball from 24-year old right-handed pitcher Gary Dyer and punished it. The result was his 11th home run of the season, which put the Lighthouse on top, 4-1.
