In a low-scoring contest between the MSL St. Louis Coeur and the MSL Thunder Bay Northern Lions BC, Joe Weber, who is tied for 3rd in the 3MSL with a 1.12 WHIP, proved to be the difference. The MSL St. Louis right-hander earned props for his performance in the 3-0 Coeur win. Weber, now 3-0, was the winner. In 6.1 innings, he gave up 2 hits, while striking out 5, walking 3, and allowing no runs. Jesús Sánchez closed out the game, earning his 7th save.

The game was on the line with two out in the top of the seventh inning, but Enrique Oliva didn't flinch. With runners on 2nd and 3rd and MSL Thunder Bay trailing 2-0, Oliva retired Vernon Adams to end the threat. "Nothing to it," said Oliva, with a wink.

With the win, the Coeur have a record of 19-13.
