Leviathan Stop Battery, 5-3
|
The MSL Nova Scotia Leviathan topped the MSL Charleston Battery, 5-3, with center fielder Alonso Carranza playing a big role. Carranza was 2-3 with a home run. He drove in 4 runs and scored once for the Leviathan in the win. Bhu Aguillo got the win, improving to 4-1. He worked 7 innings, giving up 3 runs on 6 hits, while striking out 5 and walking 2. The win makes MSL Nova Scotia 18-14.
MSL Nova Scotia grabbed the momentum in the bottom of the fifth, when Carranza hit a 3-run home run off Pablo Guerrero. His 1st home run of the season put the Leviathan out in front, 3-2.
"Nice win for us," said Carranza. "Now we'll go after the next one."
