Francisco Cruz left his imprint on the 6-3 MSL Thunder Bay win against the MSL Toledo Stingers. Cruz, who is tied for 9th in the 3MSL in RBI with 19, was 1 for 2 with a home run and a walk, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. MSL Thunder Bay, at 20-13, sits in 4th place in the 3L MSL.

Cruz contributed a big hit, a grand slam home run, for MSL Thunder Bay in the bottom of the fourth. With his team trailing 2-0, Cruz took a curveball from Esteban Rodríguez and stroked the home run to right. His 5th home run of the season allowed the Northern Lions BC to leap in front, 4-2.

"This was a good win for us," said Cruz. "It's one more step toward our ultimate goal."
