Bowties Deal Northern Lions BC 5-2 Loss
|
The MSL Buckhead Bowties topped the MSL Thunder Bay Northern Lions BC, 5-2, in M3L Mexican Summer League action at MSL Thunder Bay Ballpark. The game was highlighted by the performance of MSL Buckhead third baseman Umberto Ubbens. Norman Smith, the winner, is now 4-5. He struck out 3 and walked 5 over 6 innings, while allowing 1 run on 3 hits. The MSL Buckhead winning streak has reached 3 games.
With MSL Buckhead leading 2-1 in the top of the third, Ubbens hit a slider from Liam Barford for a 3-run home run. It was his 9th home run of the season and put the Bowties ahead, 5-1.
