In a tight affair between the MSL Long Island Lighthouse and the MSL D.C. Divided, pitcher Lee Kennedy was in the zone. The MSL Long Island right-hander helped his team win the game, 3-1. Kennedy, now 7-0, was the winner. In 7.2 innings, he gave up 4 hits, while striking out 6, walking 5, and allowing 1 run. Picking up his 5th save was 18-year old right-handed pitcher Chris McElroy.
The Lighthouse had to work out of trouble in the top of the ninth. The score was 3-1, MSL Long Island, with one out. MSL D.C., with a runner on 2nd, was mounting a threat. Elliot Attenborough dug in at the plate, but on a 2-2 cutter, he grounded out.
The Lighthouse win now puts them at 20-15.
