Dirty Reds Win Again, Streak Now at 13
The inspired effort of MSL Pittsburgh second baseman Christian McFarland was not enough to prevent a loss, 7-5, to the MSL Dayton Dirty Reds. McFarland was 3 for 5 with a double and 2 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Daryl Crawford, the winning pitcher, is now 4-1. He went 7.1 innings, allowing 5 runs on 9 hits, while fanning 7 and walking 0. MSL Dayton, now 27-8, has won 13 straight games.

The Dirty Reds beat the Kingfishers in part due to timely hitting. Case in point: the two-out single Héctor Rodríguez produced in the bottom of the seventh. Batting against Byron Purglove, Rodríguez gave his team the lead, 6-4, when he hit a 2-run single.

"I like our clubhouse vibe," said MSL Dayton manager Nick Hoskins.
