Walk-Off Seals 20th Victory for Battery
|
Ismael Jiménez had a good game, but he could not keep the MSL Oakland Oaks from falling, 9-8, to the MSL Charleston Battery at MSL Charleston Ballpark. The MSL Oakland third baseman was 2 for 4 with a home run and a walk. He scored 3 runs and drove in 3 in the loss. MSL Charleston is now 20-15, while MSL Oakland is 23-12.
The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the tenth inning, when MSL Charleston left fielder Hilton Donaldson, facing Gustavo García, had a run-scoring walk. It gave the Battery the 9-8 win.
"This is a resilient bunch," said MSL Charleston manager Koryusai Ohayashi.
