Kurt Morse pitched well, but his team, the MSL Echo Park Lakers, still dropped a 3-0 decision to the MSL St. Louis Coeur at MSL St. Louis Ballpark. MSL St. Louis reliever Jeff Forster picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Kurt Morse was saddled with the loss. Jesús Sánchez locked down his 8th save.

With scoring opportunities rare, the Coeur had to cash in when they had the chance. One such opportunity presented itself in the bottom of the sixth, when center fielder Félix Mireles hit a run-scoring single. The single came off Kurt Morse and made the score 1-0, Coeur. Mireles went 2-4 with 2 singles.

"It feels good to get this one," Mireles told the MSL St. Louis Daily.

The 5th-place Coeur go to 21-16.
