The MSL Oakland Oaks beat the MSL Nova Scotia Leviathan by a score of 5-2. MSL Oakland shortstop Wakil Ala' deserved the lion's share of the credit. Ala' was 2-4 with a home run and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once for the Oaks. Alonso Forado nailed down the save. The win elevated the Oaks to 26-12.
Tied up with the Leviathan in the top of the fifth inning, the Oaks got a boost from right fielder Noud Wolthaus. With runners on 1st and 2nd, Wolthaus saw a 0-1 sinker from Uku Willa and hit a run-scoring single to break the stalemate and put MSL Oakland on top, 2-1.
"We're in a little funk right now and we've just got to get ourselves out of it," said MSL Nova Scotia manager Ángel Ruíz.
