Battery 4-1 Winners Over MSL Vancouver
The MSL Charleston Battery downed the MSL Vancouver Grey Wolves, 4-1, at MSL Vancouver Ballpark. Stellar pitching by Armando Torres had a lot to do with it. The left-hander, who is tied for 4th in the 3MSL in strikeouts with 61, handcuffed his opponent all game. Torres, the winner, moves to 4-5. He threw 6.2 innings of 4-hit ball, while fanning 4 and giving up 3 walks. The Battery saw their record improve to 22-16.

Bill Vázquez cracked a home run off Rafael Zúñiga in the top of the second. His 2-run blast put the Battery on top, 2-0. In all, Vázquez had 2 singles in addition to the home run, while going 3 for 4.

"We played a good game and came out on top," said Vázquez.
