The MSL Kingston Ponies handed the MSL Thunder Bay Northern Lions BC a loss at MSL Thunder Bay Ballpark. The final score was 7-2. Pedro Vásquez was one of the major contributors for MSL Kingston. In addition to his 2 singles and 1 home run, he scored 2 runs and drove in 5. Iván Morín came out of the bullpen to earn the win. The right-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 2 innings. His record now stands at 3-2. The second-place Ponies now have a record of 25-14.
MSL Kingston used the timely hitting of Benjamin Lovibond to seize the win. The third baseman stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the tenth inning to put the Ponies on top, 3-2. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"Sweet win for us, tough loss for them," said Lovibond.
