The MSL Oakland Oaks stormed past the MSL Nova Scotia Leviathan, 13-8, at MSL Nova Scotia Ballpark. MSL Oakland first basemanJosé Ramírez , who is tied for 2nd in the 3MSL in RBI with 38, led the hit parade. He was 4 for 6 with a home run, a double, and 2 singles, while scoring 4 times and driving in 2. Yoritoki Watanabe was credited with the save for MSL Oakland, his 3rd of the season. The first-place Oaks now have a win-loss record of 27-12.

A critical at-bat came in the top of the seventh inning when the Oaks sent 18-year-old catcher Jaime Herrera to the plate with the bases loaded. The youngster shook off the pressure and hit a run-scoring single, to put MSL Oakland on top, 8-7.

"I like our moxie," said Oaks manager Ricky O'Toole.
