MSL Dayton Keeps Spiraling Downward
The MSL Charleston Battery spoiled a good performance by MSL Dayton right fielder Sergio Ibarra, bumping off MSL Dayton, 10-7, at MSL Dayton Ballpark. Ibarra went 4-5 with a home run and 3 singles. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. MSL Charleston pitcher Miguel Zavala got the win, upping his record to 3-1. Ricardo Arroyo got the loss. Sang-keun Yi closed out the game, earning his 9th save.

MSL Charleston needed the clutch hitting of Claudio Martínez to seal the deal. The shortstop swatted a grand slam home run in the top of the ninth inning to put the Battery on top, 10-7. For the game, Martínez had 1 home run and 1 single in 5 at-bats.

"I felt good up there," said Martínez. "I saw the ball well."
