No one was more impactful than Iván Gonzáles in the 10-8 MSL Cape Coral win over MSL Detroit. Gonzáles, who is tied for 6th in the 3MSL with a .687 slugging percentage, went 2-4 with a home run and 2 walks, while scoring 2 times and driving in 3. The Hurricanes improved to a lofty 29-12.

With MSL Cape Coral leading 7-1 in the top of the seventh, Gonzáles batted against MSL Detroit pitcher Ramón Ramírez. Gonzáles hit a splitter to right for a 2-run home run. His 14th home run of the season put the Hurricanes on top, 9-1.

"It was a nice win for our side today," said Hurricanes manager Joe Morris. "Not perfect, but we'll take it."
