Mireles Helps MSL St. Louis Cruise to 10-3 Win
With Félix Mireles leading the charge, the MSL St. Louis Coeur defeated the MSL Vancouver Grey Wolves, 10-3. Mireles was 1 for 2 with a home run and 3 walks. He scored 2 times and drove in 4 for the Coeur. Joe Weber got the win, improving to 4-3. He pitched 8 innings, giving up 5 hits and 3 runs, while striking out 4 and walking 1. The win puts MSL St. Louis at 22-19 this season.

With MSL St. Louis leading 4-1 in the bottom of the third, Mireles hit a fastball from Rafael Zúñiga for a grand slam home run. It was his 12th home run of the season and put the Coeur ahead, 8-1.

"The boys came out and just played their butts off," said MSL St. Louis manager Harunobu Matsushita.
