Northern Lions BC Win Again, 4-1, Extend Streak to 6
|
MSL Thunder Bay turned a fine outing from starter Javier Delgado into a victory over the MSL Panama City Piranhas at MSL Panama City Ballpark. The final score was 4-1. The winner was Delgado. He threw 5.1 innings of shutout ball. The loser was Pavol Slimak. Juan García locked down his 2nd save.
Samuel Zhan, who is tied for 4th in the 3MSL in doubles with 13, had a direct impact on the outcome. Zhan contributed a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the sixth inning to put MSL Thunder Bay up, 2-0.
"Javier did a nice job," said Northern Lions BC manager Jurg Ursin.
MSL Thunder Bay now has a record of 28-13 with the win.
