Dirty Reds Lose Again, 8-4, to Battery
|
Hilton Donaldson made an impact in the 8-4 MSL Charleston win over MSL Dayton. Donaldson, who leads the 3MSL in bases on balls with 58, was 2 for 3 with 2 doubles and 3 walks, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Matvei Laenko closed out the game, earning his 1st save. Now 7-35, MSL Dayton has lost 14 in a row.
Donaldson had a big hit for MSL Charleston with two out in the top of the eighth. With MSL Charleston leading 5-4, Donaldson hit a run-scoring double. It was his 11th double of the season and put the Battery up, 6-4.
"I can only hope we've hit rock bottom," lamented losing manager Gabriel Rentería in postgame remarks.
