Bowties Win at MSL Oakland, 4-3
|
MSL Oakland Ballpark was the site of an exciting ballgame between the MSL Buckhead Bowties and MSL Oakland Oaks.
The MSL Buckhead Bowties topped the MSL Oakland Oaks, 4-3, in M3L Mexican Summer League action at MSL Oakland Ballpark. The standout performance belonged to MSL Buckhead pitcher and Tokyo, Japan, native Hiroaki Fujii. Earning his 1st save for MSL Buckhead was Pedro Rodríguez.
MSL Buckhead used a well-timed hit by Norberto Guerra to capture the win. The center fielder socked a 2-run double in the top of the sixth inning to put the Bowties ahead, 4-0. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.
"I really like what we did out there today," Guerra said after the game.
The 10th-place Oaks have lost 5 consecutive games.
