Hurricanes Get Clutch Win Versus MSL Kingston Township
|
The MSL Cape Coral Hurricanes faced a tough opponent in MSL Kingston Township pitcher Richie Ayala, but did just enough to pull out the victory at MSL Cape Coral Ballpark by a final score of 4-3. Ayala went 6.1 innings and allowed 2 runs. The last-place Hurricanes own a record of 13-30.
The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the ninth inning, when MSL Cape Coral catcher Matt Jones, facing Jorge Gracía, had a run-scoring walk. It gave the Hurricanes the 4-3 win.
"Not to put too fine a point on it," said Jones, "but we really needed that win."
