Hurricanes Take Down Ponies, 6-5
The MSL Cape Coral Hurricanes beat the MSL Kingston Ponies, 6-5, in 10 innings at MSL Cape Coral Ballpark. MSL Cape Coral designated hitter Francisco Rivera had an outstanding performance. He was 4-5 with a home run and 3 singles. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. MSL Cape Coral reliever Tim Johnson snagged the win, upping his record to 4-1. Nuruddin Tanui shouldered the loss. MSL Cape Coral has an impressive 31-12 record.

The game was still up for grabs in the bottom of the tenth. With two out, Rivera hit a fastball from Nuruddin Tanui for a run-scoring single. The Hurricanes, in dramatic fashion, had a walk-off win.

"Sometimes winning takes more than 27 outs," said Hurricanes manager Joe Morris.
