Grey Wolves Tag Divided with 8-6 Loss
The inspired effort of MSL D.C. catcher Richard Alfons was not enough to prevent a loss, 8-6, to the MSL Vancouver Grey Wolves. Alfons was 3 for 4 with 3 doubles. He scored 2 times and drove in 4. MSL Vancouver pitcher Jason Roy got the win, upping his record to 5-3. Dwien Bellanueva got the loss. Denie Vogelsang earned his 7th save, after closing out the game.

Rodel Legarda had a big 3-run home run for the Grey Wolves in the bottom of the third inning. With MSL Vancouver leading 3-0 and runners on 1st and 3rd, he sized up a fastball from 16-year old right-handed pitcher Dwien Bellanueva and punished it. The result was his 4th home run of the season, which put the Grey Wolves on top, 6-0.

"It was a nice win for our side today," said Grey Wolves manager Roy Bagnall. "Not perfect, but we'll take it."

The Grey Wolves improved their record to 25-18 by beating MSL D.C..
