Northern Lions BC Best Divided in Pitching Duel
|
In a low-scoring game between the MSL Thunder Bay Northern Lions BC and the MSL D.C. Divided, pitcher Arjen Stenissen was masterful on the mound. The MSL Thunder Bay right-hander spearheaded his team's 2-1 win. The 8th-place Northern Lions BC improved to 18-27.
Second Baseman Mick Hall made an impact for MSL Thunder Bay, when he swatted a run-scoring double off Richard Alfons in the bottom of the fifth. For the contest, Hall was 1-3 with a double.
"The key at this level is throwing strike one," said Stenissen. "Successful pitchers do it."
