The MSL Thunder Bay Northern Lions BC overcame a good performance by MSL D.C. center fielder Alberto Chávez to knock off MSL D.C., 16-15, in 10 innings at MSL Thunder Bay Ballpark. Chávez was 3-6 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 3. The 32-13 Northern Lions BC have won 10 games in a row.

The game-ending blow was delivered by Dennis Agymah in the bottom of the tenth. That's when he hit a run-scoring double off 18-year old right-handed pitcher Balu Maitryi to win it for MSL Thunder Bay and cause the home crowd to erupt in celebration.

"This game is about whoever is putting up more runs," said Northern Lions BC manager Jurg Ursin. "Simple as that."
