Fa-tang Xiong had a strong outing for the MSL St. Louis Coeur against the MSL Charleston Battery at MSL St. Louis Ballpark. The left-hander was a big part of his team's 2-1 win. MSL St. Louis raised its record to 28-18 with the win.

The Coeur got a big at-bat from catcher Ángel Pérez. For the game, Pérez went 1 for 3 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the first, with a runner on 2nd, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 6th home run of the season gave MSL St. Louis a 2-0 lead.
