The MSL Cape Coral Hurricanes downed the MSL Thunder Bay Northern Lions BC, 8-2, at MSL Thunder Bay Ballpark. The Hurricanes were led by José Flores. Flores was 1-2 with a home run and 2 walks. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. The Hurricanes go to 18-28, putting them 9th in the 3L MSL.
Iván Gonzáles had a big 3-run home run for the Hurricanes in the top of the seventh inning. With MSL Cape Coral leading 3-0 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he sized up a fastball from 18-year old right-handed pitcher Ángel Quintana and punished it. The result was his 8th home run of the season, which put the Hurricanes on top, 6-0.
