Lakers Win at MSL Dayton, 2-1

The MSL Echo Park Lakers did just enough to secure a victory over the MSL Dayton Dirty Reds, 2-1, at MSL Dayton Ballpark. Nobody did more than pitcher Daniel Valdés. Lieh Guang closed the game out for MSL Echo Park, earning his 9th save. The victory puts MSL Echo Park at 17-29.
With scoring opportunities rare, the Lakers had to cash in when they had the chance. One such opportunity presented itself in the top of the third, when third baseman Jorge Sameno hit a run-scoring single. The single came off Hou-kang Wu and made the score 1-0, Lakers. Sameno was 2-4 with 2 singles.
"We'll build on this win," said Valdés.
