MSL Charleston turned a good effort from starter Armando Torres into a win over the MSL Long Island Lighthouse at MSL Long Island Ballpark. The Battery won the game, 8-2. MSL Charleston, at 29-18, sits in 4th place in the 3L MSL.

Jean Dupont cracked a home run off Michael Campbell in the top of the fifth. His 3-run blast put the Battery on top, 4-1. In all, Dupont had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 5.

"Main thing is I want the team to win," Torres told a reporter after the game. "Just have to go out there, take care of my job, and give my team a chance to win."
