MSL Kingston Wins, Liu goes 3-for-4
The MSL Kingston Ponies downed the MSL Charleston Battery, 8-2, at MSL Kingston Township Ballpark. Xian-yao Liu led the way, going 3-for-4 for MSL Kingston. Marty MacDonald earned the win to go to 5-5. He allowed no runs on 4 hits, with 2 walks and 4 strikeouts in 6 innings of work. The save went to Jaime Santos, number 1 for him.

Tied up with the Battery in the bottom of the fourth inning, the Ponies got a boost from designated hitter Júlio Figueroa. With the bases loaded, Figueroa saw a 0-2 fastball from Reynold Bothof and hit a run-scoring single to break the stalemate and put MSL Kingston on top, 1-0.

"We're a talented bunch when we're playing well," said Liu. "I think we showed that here."

MSL Kingston currently is in 8th place in the 3L MSL at 23-24.
