MSL D.C. Claims 8-3 Victory
|
The MSL D.C. Divided topped the MSL Dayton Dirty Reds, 8-3, in M3L Mexican Summer League action at MSL D.C. Ballpark. The standout performance belonged to MSL D.C. pitcher and Balakrishnampatti, India, native Balu Maitryi. The Dirty Reds, now 8-39, have lost 4 straight.
George Kramer had a big grand slam home run for the Divided in the bottom of the sixth inning. With MSL D.C. leading 4-3 and the bases loaded, he got a fastball from 17-year old right-handed pitcher Sébastien Lecocq and swatted a home run to left. It was his 6th home run of the season, and more importantly, it put the Divided ahead, 8-3.
"We did more than enough to get the win," said Maitryi.
