Tomás González, who is tied for 9th in the 3MSL with a 7.5 K/9 rate, propelled his team to victory over the MSL Cape Coral Hurricanes. The final score was 5-4, MSL Thunder Bay. The Northern Lions BC raised their record to 22-26.

With two out in the bottom of the third, Neil Mira hit a go-ahead, 2-run home run. It was his 2nd home run of the season and with it the Northern Lions BC took a 2-0 lead.

"This was a good win," said Mira.
