The MSL Thunder Bay Northern Lions BC besoiled an otherwise fine performance by MSL Buckhead second baseman Rafael Ruíz by beating the Bowties, 9-8, at MLB Buckhead Ballpark. Ruíz went 2-3 with a home run and 2 walks, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3. Andrés Domínguez picked up the win in relief. His record improves to 9-1. José Aguilera suffered the loss. José Cortéz got the save, the 5th for him this season.

MSL Thunder Bay shortstop Alejandro Gutiérrez made an impact. He drilled a run-scoring single in the top of the fourth. For the game, Gutiérrez was 2-4 with 2 singles.
