Grey Wolves Rally to Win, 3-2
|
MSL Panama City got a valiant performance from pitcher Steven Crouch, but it wasn't enough to beat the MSL Vancouver Grey Wolves. MSL Vancouver won the game, 3-2. Crouch threw 7.2 innings of shutout ball for the losing team. Kinnosuke Shimizu notched the win in relief. The right-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit in 1.2 innings. His record now sits at 2-0. The triumph puts MSL Vancouver at 11-7 for the season.
The result might have been different, had it not been for 18-year old first baseman Anaba Idowu. Idowu had a run-scoring single in the top of the tenth inning to put the Grey Wolves ahead, 3-2. For the game, Idowu had 1 double and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
"If you ever get this game figured out," said MSL Panama City manager Anthony Mitchell, "let me know."
