Oaks Top Stingers, 5-3

MSL Oakland picked up a win at MSL Oakland Ballpark, bumping off the MSL Toledo Stingers, 5-3. Pitcher José Mecedone was a major reason the Oaks emerged victorious. Picking up the save was Marcos López, his 1st. The second-place Oaks improved to 12-6.
The Oaks got a big at-bat from center fielder Ricardo González. For the game, González went 1-4 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the first, with runners on 1st and 3rd, he stroked a 3-run home run. His 2nd home run of the season gave MSL Oakland a 3-0 lead.
"Say want you want about this team, they play nine innings hard," said MSL Oakland manager Ricky O'Toole.
