Valdéz Pops Two Homers in 6-3 Win for MSL Toledo
MSL Toledo shortstop Jorge Valdéz contributed significantly to his team's 6-3 win over the MSL Greenville 84s. Valdéz, who is tied for 8th in the SMSL in RBI with 17, went 3 for 4 with 2 runs scored to lead the offensive attack for the Stingers. Jay Keirl, the winner, improved to 1-2. He held the 84s to 1 run on 5 hits over 6 innings, while striking out 6 and walking 2. MSL Toledo, at 10-10, occupies 5th place in the SL MSL.

Francisco Vargas drew 1 walk against the 84s. With the game tied in the bottom of the sixth inning, he hit a sacrifice fly that put MSL Toledo in front, 1-0.
