Liberty Earn 3-2 Win Versus Blue Demons
MSL Blue Demon Ballpark was the site of a tense game between the MSL Mexico City Blue Demons and MSL Philadelphia Liberty.

In a low-scoring contest between the MSL Philadelphia Liberty and the MSL Mexico City Blue Demons, Bill Griggs, who leads the SMSL in quality starts with 5, proved to be the difference. The MSL Philadelphia right-hander earned props for his performance in the 3-2 Liberty win. MSL Philadelphia reliever Vladimir Ogrijenovic picked up the win, upping his record to 2-0. Brendon Downing took the loss. Denis Teissier collected save number 6.

Takeo Otsuka came through with a big-time hit for MSL Philadelphia. The pinch hitter smacked a solo home run in the top of the ninth inning to give his team the lead, 3-2. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.

"Every loss hurts," said MSL Mexico City manager Sting Ray Robb. "But this was a tough one."

The Liberty saw their win-loss record go to 10-10. At the same time, the Blue Demons fell to 9-11.
