Blue Demons Claim 5-4 Triumph
|
The MSL Mexico City Blue Demons had to overcome a fine effort from MSL Vancouver pitcher Callum Routhwaite to win, 5-4, at MSL Vancouver Ballpark. Routhwaite went 6.1 innings and allowed 2 runs. Kap-yong Ch'oe picked up the save for MSL Mexico City, his 1st of the year. The Blue Demons go to 9-12, putting them 8th in the SL MSL.
MSL Mexico City used a clutch hit from Brian Wolf to get the win. The center fielder drilled a 3-run home run in the top of the seventh inning to put the Blue Demons ahead, 5-4. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"There's never a lack of effort in our clubhouse. We're willing to do the little things to get the win," Wolf told the MSL Mexico City Chronicle.
