Keijo Kononen, the winner, improved to 2-3. He held MSL Philadelphia to 4 runs on 6 hits over 5.1 innings, while racking up 7 strikeouts. The 8th-place Liberty now sit at 10-11.

In the bottom of the fifth, with the game tied, MSL Philadelphia allowed the Blue Demons to go up, 5-4, on a MSL Philadelphia error.
