The MSL Memphis Mockingbirds beat the MSL Ft. Worth Cattlemen, 8-0. MSL Memphis pitcher and Bohechío, Dominican Republic, native Cisco Díaz led the way. Díaz got the win, improving to 2-1. He gave up 1 hit and walked 2 over 5.2 innings. He allowed no runs. The Mockingbirds are now 16-8.

Bob McGinnity, who is tied for 4th in the SMSL in runs scored with 18, took MSL Ft. Worth hurler Elia Clarici deep in the top of the first. His 3-run home run put the Mockingbirds on top, 3-0. In all, McGinnity had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 4.
