With right fielder Cullen Thompson leading the charge, the MSL Ft. Worth Cattlemen defeated the MSL Detroit Elite, 7-3, at MSL Detroit Ballpark. Thompson, who leads the SMSL in triples with 3, went 3 for 4 with 3 singles and a walk. He scored 2 times. Vic Wright, credited with the win in relief, is now 4-1. He allowed 2 runs on 7 hits in 5.1 innings. António Chávez earned save number 1 this season.

The result might have been different, had it not been for 18-year old second baseman Won Ch'oe. Ch'oe had a 2-run double in the top of the eighth inning to put the Cattlemen ahead, 6-3. For the game, Ch'oe had 1 double and 1 single in 2 at-bats.

"We believe in ourselves and we're willing to work hard. It's a good combination," Ch'oe told the MSL Ft. Worth Daily News.
