Panama City beat Las Vegas on the strength of starting pitcher Raymond Thomas's fine effort. The right-hander led his team to a win, 1-0. The winner was Thomas. He threw 7.1 innings of shutout ball. The loser was Mike Bailie. Panama City is 8th in the Silver League with a record of 31-36.
Panama City took control in the bottom of the seventh. With one out and a runner on 3rd, Paul Young hit a run-scoring single to make it 1-0, Piranhas.
