MSL Philadelphia Absorbs 3-2 Loss to MSL Pittsburgh
|
MSL Liberty Ballpark was the site of an exciting ballgame between the MSL Pittsburgh Kingfishers and MSL Philadelphia Liberty.
The MSL Pittsburgh Kingfishers earned a close win over the MSL Philadelphia Liberty, thanks in part to Joachim Ruttman. The MSL Pittsburgh left-hander, who is tied for 3rd in the SMSL in quality starts with 7, played a key role in the 3-2 victory. Ruttman got the win, improving to 4-4. He gave up 5 hits and walked 1 over 7 innings. He allowed no runs.
António Pérez had a direct impact on the outcome. Pérez contributed a run-scoring ground out in the top of the ninth inning to put MSL Pittsburgh up, 3-0.
"Joachim's not intimidated by who's stepping into the batter's box," said MSL Pittsburgh manager Ricky Miller.
At 17-15, the Kingfishers are currently 6th in the SL MSL.
