Billy Goats Rally to Beat Piranhas, 4-2
|
The MSL Colorado Billy Goats handed the MSL Panama City Piranhas a 4-2 defeat at MSL Panama City Ballpark. Third Baseman Pedro López starred for MSL Colorado. He was 2 for 4 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Carl Cook sewed up the save, his 8th. At 20-13, the Billy Goats find themselves in third place in the SL MSL.
With MSL Colorado leading 3-2 in the top of the ninth, López hit a run-scoring single off MSL Panama City hurler Tatsui Onodera. It was the 42nd hit of the season for López and put his team ahead, 4-2.
"We're a talented bunch when we're playing well," said López. "I think we showed that here."
