Lakers Suffer 9-1 Home Defeat
|
The MSL Detroit Elite knocked off the MSL Echo Park Lakers, 9-1, in USSL Mexican Summer League action at MSL Echo Park Ballpark. MSL Detroit pitcher and Princess Quarter, Sint Maarten, native Rene Hak had an outstanding performance. MSL Detroit reliever Rene Hak got the win, raising his record to 1-3. Frazer Bice was tagged with the loss. The win has MSL Detroit at 13-21.
MSL Detroit shortstop Ángel Valdéz contributed a timely at-bat in the top of the third. With two down, he hit a fastball to center field for a run-scoring single. It was his 7th hit of the season and put the Elite ahead, 2-1.
"We had some nice at-bats at the right time," said Elite manager Valentín Robles.
