Walk-Off Seals 21st Victory for Lighthouse
|
Héctor Sánchez pitched a gem to lead MSL Long Island to victory over the MSL Panama City Piranhas, 2-1, in 10 innings. The win belonged to Kao-tsu Lei in relief. His record improves to 1-1. Isaías Garza took the loss for MSL Panama City. MSL Long Island is now 21-13, MSL Panama City 21-13.
The Lighthouse got a clutch hit from designated hitter Sergio Benítez. In the bottom of the tenth, he delivered a run-scoring single to win the game for the Lighthouse.
"We put some tough at-bats on some tough pitches," said MSL Long Island manager Hsien-feng Chen.
