Liberty Deal Mockingbirds 5-3 Defeat
|
The MSL Philadelphia Liberty defeated the MSL Memphis Mockingbirds, 5-3, at MSL Memphis Ballpark. Leading the charge for MSL Philadelphia was right fielder César Castillo. He was 2 for 4 with a home run, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. With the win, MSL Philadelphia raised its record to 23-11.
Castillo contributed a big hit, a 3-run home run, for MSL Philadelphia in the top of the fourth. With his team trailing 2-1, Castillo took a changeup from Anthony Wright and stroked the home run to left. His 12th home run of the season allowed the Liberty to leap in front, 4-2.
"Say want you want about this team, they play nine innings hard," said MSL Philadelphia manager Manuel Rodríguez.
