MSL Las Vegas Claims 5-3 Victory
|
The MSL Las Vegas Flamingos beat the MSL Panama City Piranhas, 5-3, at MSL Las Vegas Ballpark. Stanton Winter, who is tied for 2nd in the SMSL in stolen bases with 4, starred for MSL Las Vegas. He was 2-4 with a home run, while scoring 2 and driving in 2. Stanley Daniel was the winner. He's now 4-3. The loser was 18-year old right-handed pitcher Guy Harris. The losing streak for MSL Panama City has now reached 5 games.
The Flamingos got a big boost from right fielder Luis Castro who had a run-scoring walk in the bottom of the first inning off Piranhas hurler Guy Harris. It was his 7th walk of the season and put MSL Las Vegas on top, 1-0.
"I warned the team before the game," losing manager Cody Blackburn told reporters, "that I'm wearing the same pair of undies until we win."
