The MSL Ft. Worth Cattlemen beat the MSL Colorado Billy Goats, 7-2, at MSL Colorado Ballpark. Luis Ramírez, in particular, was impressive. He went 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. The winner in relief was Vic Wright. The left-hander allowed 1 run on 6 hits in 7 innings. He now owns a record of 5-1. The last-place Cattlemen own a record of 11-24.

Ramírez had a game-changing home run in the top of the seventh. On a first pitch fastball from Dale Petherbridge, he banged a 3-run home run to left, giving the Cattlemen a 3-2 lead. It was the 1st home run of the year for Ramírez.

"We put a lot of pressure on ourselves," Ramírez told a MSL Ft. Worth Daily News reporter. "Sometimes we just need to relax."
