Flamingos Pick Up 3-2 Road Win Over MSL Ft. Worth
|
The MSL Ft. Worth Cattlemen went down to defeat to Stanley Daniel and his MSL Las Vegas teammates. The final score was 3-2, in favor of the Flamingos. Jesús López finished to wrap up his 11th save. The Flamingos, now 24-14, know that wins in August count the same as wins in September.
The Flamingos got a big at-bat from first baseman Akke Derks. For the game, Derks was 1-3 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the top of the second, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 5th home run of the season gave MSL Las Vegas a 2-0 lead.
"If you want to be considered a good team, these are the kind of games you have to win," said MSL Las Vegas manager Augusto Pérez.
