The MSL Philadelphia Liberty topped the MSL Detroit Elite, 3-2, in USSL Mexican Summer League action at MSL Liberty Ballpark. The game was highlighted by the performance of MSL Philadelphia pitcher Edoardo Consiglio. Reliever Denis Teissier picked up the win. His record improves to 2-1. Chiah-jen Cui took the loss. MSL Philadelphia now owns a record of 27-12.

The game-ending blow was delivered by César Castillo in the bottom of the ninth. That's when he hit a solo home run off 17-year old right-handed pitcher Chiah-jen Cui to win it for MSL Philadelphia and cause the home crowd to erupt in celebration.

"We fed off the energy of the crowd at the end," Consiglio said.
