Ruíz Hits 3 Bombs in 7-0 Win
|
The MSL Panama City Piranhas topped the MSL Baltimore Bullets, 7-0, at MSL Panama City Ballpark. MSL Panama City third baseman José Ruíz was a spark plug for the offense. He hit 3 home runs, while adding 6 RBI and scoring three times. With the win, the Piranhas improved to 19-20.
With MSL Panama City leading 4-0 in the bottom of the eighth, Ruíz batted against MSL Baltimore pitcher Tadasuke Tanaka. Ruíz hit a sinker to center for a 3-run home run. His 14th home run of the season put the Piranhas on top, 7-0.
"It wasn't a very good day at the ballpark," said MSL Baltimore manager Félix Martínez.
